                    CAN TABS

Please continue to save can tabs.  These can be brought to any Columbiette meeting and will be saved for the 2022 state convention.   We did an excellent job last year and want to do better this time.  The tabs are given to the Ronald McDonald House Program to help support accommodations for family members whose children are in the hospital.   A Ronald McDonald House is that “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost.

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR  PREVIOUS DONATIONS!

 BACKPACK AND TOILETRY BAGS
FOR 2024

Voluntary contributions of backpacks for needy school children and toiletry bags for the homeless shelters will be collected at our June 2024 meeting.   See the links below for suggestions to fill backpacks and/or toiletry bags.  Now is a good time to watch for sales!

HAIL MARY CAMPAIGN
PEACE OF CHRIST ENDED ON MAY 31, 2023
THE FINAL COUNT WAS 2,443,779
DIVINE MERCY FOR ALL THE WORLD STARTED ON JUNE 1, 2023

The Hail Mary Campaign for the Peace of Christ ended on May 31st and a new campaign dedicated to “Divine Mercy for all the World” began on June 1, 2023.  We are seeking our Blessed Mother’s intercession to bring souls back to Christ and end the tumultuous attack on our Catholic faith and Christian values.  This campaign will run until May 31, 2024.  A dedicated e-mail address has been set up at:  hailmarysforDM@gmail.com to receive tallies from anyone at anytime.  Please ask family members, friends, neighbors, church groups, etc. to pray Hail Marys to help in obtaining this goal.  The cumulative tally of all Hail Marys prayed will be updated as responses are received at:
www.donboscocolumbiettes.weebly.com.
The rosary is crucial.  It is a powerful weapon.  Our Lady came from heaven at Fatima to ask us to pray the rosary every day.  We should have no excuse to not honor her request.

"Say the Rosary every day . . . Pray, pray a lot and offer sacrifices for sinners . . . I'm Our Lady of the Rosary.  Only I will be able to help you. . . . In the end My Immaculate Heart will triumph."

NOVENA PRAYER TO THE
BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy,
by the holy will of your Son,
Our Lord Jesus Christ, you are our Mother in Heaven.
I am comforted in knowing your heart is ever open
to those who ask for your help.
Your Immaculate Heart is full of
tenderness and compassion
for sinners like me.
I ask that you intercede for me today for . . .

---(mention your prayer intentions)---

I trust in your intercession before the throne of God
for my needs.
Please pray also that if my requests
are not in accord with the will of God,
I may be, like you,
conformed to His will and not my own.
To obtain this previous gift,
I honor your loving mercy by praying:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

 PRAYER FOR THE HELPLESS UNBORN
Gracious God, in Your infinite love, protect those helpless unborn little ones whose lives are threatened by abortion.  Touch with overflowing compassion the hearts of pregnant women who are desperate, fearful, anxious, frantic or who may feel they are incapable of carrying this child who now lives within them.  Help them understand that this baby is made in Your image and likeness--as well as their own--and that You have given this child a soul and You desire its life and health.

Inspire young mothers to move beyond fear and selfishness.  Place within their hearts the strength and courage only You can give.  Grant them great love to bring this child to birth, and to provide all the nurturing and care that only a mother can offer.   Amen.

PRAYER FOR THOSE WHO HAD AN ABORTION

Heavenly Father, hear the cries of our hearts.  Look with kindness and compassion upon those who have ended a pregnancy, assisted another in some way, or performed an abortion.  Heal their wounds and forgive their sins.  Let the healing rays of Your Blood and Water pour forth from the Heart of Your Son upon them and fill them with Your love.  Help them not to despair of Your mercy and grant them the grace to turn with trust to our Savior Jesus Christ.  Heal their minds, bodies, souls, and their memories.  Help them to expose the wounds of their heart to Christ in the Sacrament of Reconciliation and allow His healing mercy to reach every hurt and hidden pain.  Grant them the grace to receive Your forgiveness and to forgive themselves.  Transform their pain by the Cross of Jesus and the swords that pierced Mary’s Heart so that it might become redemptive in Your sight.  Help to open their hearts to receive Your love and mercy.  Grant them an outpouring of Your Holy Spirit so that they might become witnesses to Your mercy for souls and the dignity and sacredness of human life from conception through its natural end.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

PRAYER OF PETITION TO SAINT JUDE

Picture
O holy apostle, Saint Jude, great in grace, rich in miracles, faithful intercessor of all who invoke your patronage in times of need, I come to you, seeking your special aid before the throne of Almighty God.

I turn to you, for you are known to be a mighty helper in overcoming seemingly impossible difficulties.  Help me in my present and urgent petition.  (Here state your requests . . . . )

In gratitude, I promise to make your name known, so that others may invoke your heavenly assistance, to the glory of God and for the good of souls.  Amen.
